Index Site in Search Engines

The first thing to do after you have put your new website online.

If you have just gone online with a new website chances are that it is not indexed in the search engines so you will not have any chance of showing up in search results for your keywords even if your domain name is a keyword rich dot com.

Here is what you should do.

  1. Go to Add your URL to Google and add your domain name.
  2. Go to Submit your Site to Bing.
  3. Go to Yahoo Site Explorer. Press Submit a Website or Webpage and add your URL (domain name)
  4. Go to Scrub the Web add URL free. Enter your Website name and your email and click submit. Go to your email and click on the confirm link. In the window that opens up enter your email address into the Confirm the Subscription box and click the button. Scroll down to the end of the page that opens up and press Submit this free with easy submit. Scroll down to the end of the page that opens up checking your information on the way and press continue. Scroll down to the end of the page and click continue. In the page that opens up click the directories that you wish you site to be submitted to. If you have already submitted to Google then make sure to uncheck it here. After each directory confirms submission press next in most cases this takes less than 10 seconds. Go to you email and confirm your subscription with any directory that has sent you a confirmation email. Note that you will be made a sales pitch at some of the directories. It is not required to purchase anything to have your site indexed in the directories for free.
  5. Download the stumbled upon tool bar. Bring your site up in the browser and press the “I like it” button. Fill in the required info and submit.

Just by following the simple steps above which should take less than five minutes you will expedite your indexing in the major search engines and your will attract some free traffic to your new site.
