From an internet marketing perspective there really is only one prime requirement. The quality of your website, original content and top product offers though important are useless without traffic.
In the world of internet marketing traffic is king.
Most beginners in internet marketing and there are an awful lot of them believe somewhere deep that if you have a great product and a great website that in the end you will succeed. Like the movie about the ball field says: “If you build it they will come”.
The sad news for the newcomers to internet marketing is that the www is not a movie and they won’t come.

Lest I be misunderstood, I am not saying that you can throw and old garbage out there and be successful just by bringing traffic to it. Internet marketing success stems from a package of a great website with great content and great product offers plus lots of traffic.
My point is that a great site with great content and great product offers without traffic will be as successful as a terrible site with terrible duplicate content and terrible product offers without traffic.
Just as in real estate it is location, location, location. In internet marketing it is traffic, traffic, traffic.
So the question arises how do I get this all important supply of traffic. For the beginner internet marketer it might not be economically feasible to spend a lot of money on paid marketing so it might be best to look at some of the free options.
Possibly the best free option is article marketing. Basically write keyword rich articles target to the products that you are marketing and submit them to article directories with links to your website in the allowed areas.
Ezine is probably the best article directory but they are really fussy and take forever to approve an article. You will not have a duplicate article approved by Ezine. You will however get lots of traffic to your site from a well written keyword targeted article in Ezine.
Go articles on the other hand does not have an approval process. You press the submit button and your article is live. You won’t however get as much traffic as you will from Ezine. You also won’t have to wait for two weeks to have your article approved.
